We met by chance as freshmen living in the dorms, two strangers sharing a small space who somehow became like family. That experience changed everything for us. It showed how the right roommate can turn a place to live into a place that feels like home.

Living together taught us that compatibility goes way beyond rent or location. It’s about finding people who understand your rhythm, respect your space, and bring out the best parts of who you are. Those kinds of connections are rare, and they deserve to be easier to find.

That’s what inspired us to start Bunky. We wanted to make roommate matching feel more real, more human, and more intentional. Not just pairing people who need a lease, but helping create the kind of experiences that make life a little lighter, a little funnier, and a lot more meaningful.
